SHIRAKU SOBA - ELANG LAUT (PANTAI INDAH KAPUK), JAKARTA UTARA
5:44 AMI'm welcoming the newest soba place at Elang Laut, Jakarta Utara called Shiraku Soba. Honestly i've never tried any soba before. Then, after Abura Soba opened their outlet at PIK, that's the first time i've ever eat soba. i know i'm too late! But since Soba is becoming my new favourite food, i've wanted to try this newly opened place, hoping that it will taste the same or even better!
To be exact, Shiraku Soba located exactly beside Farmers Coffee(the newest section thirty three). To be more exact, Shiraku located at the same way like Bakmi Bintang Gading, Ron's Laboratory, Martabak Pecenongan, and many more. You'll spot it since the banner is quite big.
Shiraku isn't really big but they have 2nd floor. The 2nd floor way more spacious then the 1st floor.
Karai Jya Jya Soba: IDR 55.8k (may contain pork and may contain chili)
(Abura soba with minced pork served with our special spicy tan-tan tare sauce, soft boiled egg, chopped spring onions, seame seeds, dried seaweed)
Being told by the waitress that this is their recommended menu so we give it a try. In here, there's no such thing like giving the soba such as an oil and vinegar like the Abura so it might get a little dry. But, i give it an spicy oil so it's not that dry. There's a slice of chili in the chopped meat so be careful if you can't stand the hot, well this isn't for you. The soba same like i had in other place and it is really good. In here i choose the Shiro Soba, it's really well seasoning and soft.
Chicken Teriyaki Soba: IDR 48.5k
(Abura soba with special miso tare and homemade teriyaki sauce, served with boiled egg, chopped spring onions, sesame seeds, dried seaweed, and grilled marinated chicken thigh)
Decided to have some chicken in our soba so we try this out. The chicken is really tender and quite soft, no complain here! Really well seasoning and i love how the teriyaki sauce taste. To even spice things up, i even pouring some chilli to the soba. It's indeed good!
Chasu Don: IDR 38.5k
(Slices of roast pork marinated in special sauce on top of a bowl of steamed rice, served with sunny side up egg, chopped spring onions, sesame seeds, dried seaweed)
The pork is really tender and quite good with the sauce. It's really perfect to paired with steamed rice. This could be all my day lunch!
Buta Tan-Tan Soba: IDR 55.8k
(Abura soba with special shoyu and tan-tan tare, served with soft boiled egg, chopped spring onions, sesame seeds, dried seaweed, and slices of tender roast pork)
My friend had an issue with this, like what i saying, the noodle might get really dry and my friend didn't want to have some chili oil so when you eat it it's really dry like sahara, my friend really did not enjoy her dish. But the pork is really tender thought.
Have you ever seen a cookie glass? Well you can now simply enjoy your drink in this cookie glass. So i will pouring the cookie glass with the matcha avocado. For the matcha avocado, it's not really well mixing and there's something odd about this drink. But it's not i didn't like it but i think this isn't for me. But, there's some chocolate in it, so you chew the chocolate while you drink it, genius!
If you have a dry soba like my friend have, just pour some oil and stir it up, it will get a little wet after it and you can enjoy it. It's a matter of preference actually. For me, i'll actually go to this place again because i enjoy it, but i don't think my friend would come again. But, pricewise it's really affordable and tastewise really great.
